George Quek is someone who I’ve admired for a long time. The man is known as the Food Court King and founded the BreadTalk Chain of bakeries not only built an empire in selling fancy bread with fancy bread name and I’m absolutely humbled by this man who prefers plain porridge instead of fancy meals anytime.
A true nouveau riche story, someone who have only a secondary school education and comes from humble beginnings. And yes i’ve met the man once.. and he claims to be an ordinary man with no particular talent nor is he very smart but very determined. And determined he is with 140 BreadTalk outlets in cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and franchises in Indonesia, the Philippines, Kuwait, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Nanjing and Taiwan; 19 foodcourts in China; two in Singapore; one in Hong Kong; and two restaurant, one cannot but admired a man like him.
I haven’t had a good cheesecake for a long, long time now. The last one i had was a chocolate cheesecake.. but it was pretty dry. I finally found one at our local grocery store.. and at $2.49 a piece.. this is by far the best .. i’ve tasted.. ! it’s not too sweet.. nor too dry.. just nice.. and moist.. i likey it..!! Yummy..!!! satisfying..!!
Mushroom is my favorite. .and so is Nigella Lawson. Have you ever seen such a beautiful domestic queen..??!!!?? Definitely beat watching.. wats her name..??!!!?? See i can’t even remember her name.. the one who went to jail for tax evasion..?? I swear .. Nigella Lawson inspires me.. whenever I get to watch her in action.. i just wanna spring up from my chair . .and become the domestic goddess like her. Donch laugh now..!! i’m sure you’ve had your moments too eh.
She makes it look so darn easy.. you are kinda encouraged to do it too.. and i do love pasta.. and mushroom.. so i’m gonna try it to. What about you ..?? game..?
The man’s cousin work for a well-known company in Canada that supplies all sorts of frozen food to all the grocery stores all over Atlantic Canada.
