Fresh trouts fried immediately after catching them. So fresh.. and so good. My mother-in-law said.. if you want the skin to be crispy .. roll them into flour .. just a bit. It was really good..!! nothing beats having fresh trouts. My in-laws kept offering me more.. but i didn’t wanna eat too much.. because my father-in-law had taken a whole afternoon to fish for them.

This was how it was fried.. pretty simple eh..?? and no oil everywhere. .and the fish had no fishy smell on them. And my mother-in-law deboned the fish for me.. not much any woman can asked for eh..?

My father-in-law went fishing and fished this trouts for dinner last Sunday.. just because we were going to visit. They were fried immediately.. and they were really good. You can’t get fish any fresher than this. I had thought about making sushi with it… but i’m sure the in-laws would eat them.. if they were raw.. muahahhaha!!

I wasn’t really paying attention to the video .. when i first saw it at Chez Pim.. but when i saw Thomas Keller from the French Laundry in it.. I had to sit up .. and watch the whole video. And yes.. I’ve met Thomas Keller once.. when i was having lunch at the French Laundry.. with my ex-boss. You know how hoteliers are … right..?? even though ours was a last minute trip to Napa Valley, we were accommodated. And yes.. ! i had some really great and awesome food… i wished i had known better.. maybe.. i would be able to appreciate it alot more.

But here it is..  i hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This was a home made bread pudding. I couldn’t figure out what it was either.. so if you didn’t.. don’t feel bad. Aunt Helena made this last week.. i didn’t try it.. but my FIL said it was pretty good. The women folks here are so good in whipping up their own dessert. But i wonder how they finished it though.. since Aunt Helena only eats it on her own.??

I wonder how many people go for the restaurant decor when eating out..??  and not just the food.  I for one am quite particular about the decor.. and the general hygiene of a restaurant.  Afterall, who wants to eat and pay premium dollars for food you can get better at home.. and where it is alot more pleasant eating at home.  I liked it.. when a restaurant takes their them to put silk flowers in all their tables.. it does make dining much more romantic.
