Since I haven’t had big breakfast for ages.. I decided to have some yesterday.. because we had to wake up early to send my kid to school.  Afterall, big breakfast.. are only till 10am everyday.. and we don’t get up this early on normal days.   The man ordered  hot cakes..  but they don’t have syrup for it.. *sigh* .. trust Mcdonalds employees to do that..!  but that’s for another day .. and another story.  I didn’t liked the eggs as always.. because they were so dry and hard.  But the rest of the stuff was ok.. the sausage.. was oily.. but that’s to be expected. Overall rating.. nah.. i didn’t missed anything for the last few months.  I couldn’t stomach another big breakfast this morning.

As much as i liked BBQs.. and family gatherings.. one of the thing i hate most is the cleaning up.. after a BBQ and a camp fire.  There is just too much smoke and BBQ sauce all over the place. .and of course..  probably stain from those BBQ food from kids and even adults who are not careful when eating.  As for the smoky smell on our patio furniture.. we can use some patio furniture covers but for those stain.. now that’s the hard part.  The cleaning up.. can be really tiresome. Any ideas..?? what to do..?

I was at a bakery the other day.. to get some mocha squares.. and the bakery had this open concept thing.. that you can see the kitchen.. and how the cakes..and desserts are being made.  I thought it was quite awesome.. and funky.  Then i also saw one of the young bakers.. wearing headphones while baking and decorating those mocha squares.  I guessed it is only here in the Western countries. .that bosses allowed their employees to do that.. because when i was in the hotel industry.. in Asia.. we would never be allowed to do that.  Working in Canada.. is alot different from working in Asia.. that’s for sure.

I haven’t had bagel for ages.. and i did really like Tim Hortons bagel for the longest time. So the other day .. i sent Keegan our babysitter/employee for our store.. to Tim’s..and i had told her to get me lots of light strawberry cream cheese. Because before my operation.. i had always asked for very little.. in fact next to nothing is best. So i guessed this time was payback time.. to me from Tim’s.. muahahah!! looked what they gave me.. on my sesame seed bagel.

Yup..!! it was so much.. i had to scrap off alot.. that day. Next time.. i wouldn’t dare asked for more.. else they take it literally.. muahahaha!! but the gals are really great at Tim’s..! i really liked them. They have a special place in my daughter’s heart.

Heheheh!! awesome..!! not everyone has a strong stomach.. !! You’ll have to watch this. Will you eat frog like that..?? I couldn’t stomach it.. raw fish is as far as i would go. Although i’ve eaten monkey’s brain before in China.

Strawberries from my father in law’s garden.. and of course the first ones.. were for my daughter.. and they were all sweet and huge ones. Definitely awesome..! but i think it is the thoughts behind it .. that touches our heart. Even my daughter.. knows that grampie’s fruits are the best.

Special mussels .. this weekend.. at local grocery store.. Sobeys. Wonder what so special about them eh..?? i forgot to ask. I’ve always loved mussels before coming to Canada. But you see they donch have the sambal i like with it.. so there is no way.. i can eat mussels just by steaming them. So i donch really eat or buy them at all.

I’ll have to say that Sobeys do have a good seafood counter.. and most of the seafood that i had ever bought here.. were fresh.. except once. But they were quick to rectified it.. and whoever worked at the seafood counter quickly replaced a fresh one for me.. but that was years ago.
