Rosy Business Ep 2 & Red Bean Soup
Rosy Business Ep 2 was really heartwarming and also very interesting.. in fact I missed a heart beat while watching it. I had just finished eating red bean soup that I had boiled last nite .. and what do one do.. when the “ang moh” bought the wrong kinda orange for your red bean soup..?? well.. like i said.. migration makes one so smart .. with improvision. Can you guess what i did..?? for anyone who can guess right.. i will share a secret with you.
You peel the orange, bake the skin for a few minutes and add it to the soup?
I love red bean soup too!! I add some coconut milk to mine.
I think most people put dried orange peel? Did you make some orange zest instead?

I always love red bean soup, but heard it was difficult to make. I am guessing that you used the skin of the orange to make the color of the soup prettier. =)

I love red bean soup too. In Japan We will put in mochi(made of rice ) in the red bean soup. Did you bake, burn the orange skin first before putting in to the red bean tong sui.

Did you get fancy like those cooking shows and used the orange zest? I see them using citrus peels in a lot of desserts. I think that would work well with that yummy red bean soup…maybe?

red bean soup is awesome! i actually prefer it without orange though. it`s usually the peel that`s used…did you use the peel from the wrong kind of orange anyway?
i have yet to watch rosy business. it’s sheren tang so hopefully it’s good! i’m sad you have made your videos private though.
i love red bean soup when lil sago is added.. but not with dried mandarin skin. I dun quite like the combination taste. So, I guess MB would have either bake it or boil it with hot water 1st? Orange zest could be an easy way out as well..

Red been soup goes well with dried mandarin orange peel. I have tried boiling it with fresh orange peel too. It makes no difference as long as the orang taste is there. Yeah…share with us your secret. We need to learn from you too….Thanks.
