Hey.. Pat,
Never too late on my blog..
Thanks for sharing.. and thanks for your generosity for an open door to Milan. I love Milan .. for their shoe shows, well.. actually fashion. Only been to one.. and I loved it.. and cannot believed my eyes.. and oh boy..!!! the after cocktail.. and mixing with those beautiful ppl.. CAN DIE..!!!!
Milan has some pretty good restaurant.. unlike where i am.. and I can’t wait till my brat becomes 10 .. hehhheee!!! then the “ang moh” and I can go for a show again.. muahahahah!!! Losing a child is hard.. and i’m sorry. I lost my first too.. 2 yrs before chloe was born – so i understand what you went thru’.
Unfortunately, I whine a lot unlike you .. muahahahah!! yer so strong..!! I hear you about the food.. but no food here.. to eat.. so will never get fat .. in fact.. i think i lost weight since coming to Canada.
Sorry about the chinese dramas.. and the cold turkey. I forwarded your email to Sam – since Lina is busy with personal stuff.
Thanks again for sharing.

Not many men knows how to pamper their wives.. yes.. training is very important.. else they will drive us nuts eh. So all to be married or not married girls out there.. make sure you train them from the very beginning. My grandmother used to say… it’s better to be loved than to love. And oh.. so true.
hope am not too late to this post and invitation extended to all esp shirley who wants to come milan:
1. am singaporean married to italian and have been living in Milan for the past 13 years.
2. have a girl of 10 and a boy of 7.
3. i should’ve 3 kids but my first born died after birth frm a congenital lung disease. am not a christian but thank god everyday for my other 2 kids.
4. i held myself up pretty well after my daughter, Sara’s death. Here in a foreign land with foreign language, it was insane!
5. would love to have more kids if it hasn’t been for Sara’s disease.
6. after this experience, believe more in fate.
7. am still wondering if it’s love with hubby after all this years cos i met him on a rebound. hubby is a good and honest person but doesn’t know how to pamper me or maybe i didn’t know how to TRAIN him to do it.
8. will i one day find true love that’ll sweep me off my feet like in the movies??? am already 40, why such thoughts???
9. i don’t like whining cos it doesn’t solve anything.
10. love to eat and can’t resist food when i see it but now just turn forty must be really careful as metabolism not what it used to be.
11. love to read all sorts of recipes but when it comes to cooking, am quite useless. just discovered prima sauces and they’re god-sent for ppl like me.
12. am one who makes lots of plans, searching and documenting info but many a times never see them thru eg. would love to open business for recycled products, alimentary or non, or even pastry shop but don’t know where to start…
13. would love to be able to blog but can’t get my thoughts sorted and organised and don’t know where to start…red tape and all…
14. tries to return to s’pore to see mom every 2 years, should be flying home this july, ummm food here i come…
15. sis-in-law frm s’pore just dropped by for 2nites, brought me 2containers of pineapple tarts and 1 of prawn roll – gobbled them down in 2DAYS!!!
16. the hassle and cost of getting prima sauces and s’pore tidbits sent to me, don’t know if worth it?? sis in law tried sending bak kwa but custome rejected and all the $$$involved!
17. finally had a pc in the house like 4 years ago and has opened up my world. now thanks to MB with the downloads, i’m out of my cold turkey for cantonese programs, thanks MB!!!
18. very true abt how we used to grow up playing by ourselves til dark whilst kids nowadays have to be constantly chaperoned even to the playground, sad isn’t it?
19. enjoys Ugly Betty, CSI, Myth busters and true crimes.
20.haven’t found a place here in italy that sells frozen roti prata or s’pore stuff so feel very deprived.
21. loves to cycle to work with my platforms.
22. weather in milan is yucky, usually cold and grey in the winter. even tho april is springtime, today it’s rainy, cold and grey outside too, what a bummer!
23. kids and i would love to have a dog at home but as usual hubby against it as he can’t bear having animals in apartments, he could be right but why should my kids be deprived of the experience of learning to love and live with animals.
24. hate housework, lucky have a lady to come in once a week. everytime she goes away, the house is spick and span and by evening when kids come home it’s as if a hurricane came by…grrr
25. would do anything for my kids but am just hoping they’d grow up to become righteous and useful human beings.
gosh that was tough trying to think up 25 things to write.
