Julie is from the very nice island of Hawaii..  !!!  anyone going to Hawaii.. donch forget to say .. aloha to Julie now.  I know she will be happy to meet up for a drink at least.  Julie wants to share a night of good food with all of us ..  enjoy.  And yes.. i’ve been to the one in California and Beverly Hills as well.  I love it.. but food portion darn huge lor, i remember my co-worker who traveled as much as i did many years ago told me that she was into colon cleaning and I should too because we eat a lot when we travel for business.  And no.. colon cleansing is not what you all thing .. it’s not awful at all.

Aloha MB,
I am so glad that I found your site. It has been such a wonderful experience. Not only have I improved my Cantonese while watching the TVB dramas, I have also made a bunch of new friends and learn many new things. Thank you.

I have been thinking how I could contribute to your food blog since I do not cook. Hehe!
Anyhow, tonight I had a opportunity to join my boyfriend for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. It was a beautiful evening with good music, gorgeous people and yummy food.

We started off with a tossed green salad. The dressing was thousand island. (The salad was so huge!!) –please see attached pic.

Another appetizer that we got was the
ROADSIDE SLIDERS

Bite-sized Burgers on Mini-Buns Served with
Grilled Onions, Pickles and Ketchup.

From the description in the menu, I thought it was going to be tiny. Boy! Was I wrong!
(Please see attached pic)

The main dish was the best. It was the CAJUN JAMBALAYA PASTA
Shrimp and Chicken Sauteed with Onions, Tomato and Peppers
in a Very Spicy Cajun Sauce. All on top of Fresh Linguini.

It there most popular seafood dish!

What do you think? Have you been to the Cheesecake factory? What restaurant would you recommend?

What restaurants would i recommend..?? here in canada..?? or in the States..??

This salad is my favorite..!! i donch get enough of greens here.

PS :  Keep the pictures coming . .and your kitchen too.  I didn’t forget them. .but trying to clear them.. as i come across them. Just finished the month April only.  Lots more to come and lots more to see.

Wats New Today?

    Hi Julie,

That entree does look good indeed. I wasn’t sure what it was till you stated it and I’ve had it before as well. It’s a little on the spicy side for me though. Not sure if you’ve heard of a sister restaurant of Cheesecake Factory but it’s called Grand Luxe Cafe. It’s very similar but a little more high end. You might want to check it out to see if it’s in your area. Thanks for sharing the pics with us. :)

Cheesecake factory is an amazing restaurant. There is one close to where I live. I love there cheesecake – it is the best! There salads are to die for. The only problem is that it is also so crowded. Long lines for dinner, so I go there for lunch most of the time.

Love the Cheesecake factory. We always visit the one in Portland when we visit my sister. The only problem is the large portions are not good for the waistline. Jan, colon cleansing is a good idea, esp after a big piece of cheesecake.

Wow! You gals are so awesome. Never imagine getting so much reply to the Cheesecake Factory post. Thanks everyone!

As some of you know, I’ve been (MIA–missing in action) for 3 weeks due to vacationing in HK and getting wedding related things there. I finally got the pre-wedding pictures done at Mona Lisa Bridal, took care of the decorations, and got my wedding dress made. Yippee! What a relief!

I’ll try to reply back to as many people as I can….

    1. Jo–Thanks for the comment. Have you been to a Cheesecake factory? Oh! Thanks for the suggestions on acne treatment and skin care. My friend in HK took me to Sasa and I was able to get some skin care treatment stuff.

    2. Hi Betsy–Nice to meet you here on MB’s blog. Yup! I agree the chocolate cake is to die for. How are things in Seattle? We were thinking of Washington State and Vancouver BC as a possible honeymoon destination, but not sure yet. How the weather in early November?

    3. Hi Shirley — You are too cute! Long time no chat ya? How are you?

    4. Hi Kk — Welcome! Welcome! Nice to meet you on MB’s blog.
Yup! Yup! I agree. Big portion are a must especially to someone like me who loves to eat. BTW, what is OZ?

    5. Hi Lina — Really miss your comment. You never fail to make me laugh. Wish you were in HK during that time too….we could have gone shopping together. Hehe!

    6. Hi Michele — Nice to meet you here on MB’s blog as well. I’m going to look into the restaurant you mentioned. Not sure if we have one here in Hawaii. Thanks for the suggestions =)

    7. Bunessa — Congrats on winning! Yup! So happy for you. =)
Oh! We have a spaghatti factory here in Hawaii too. They have special Tuesday where everything is 1/2 off, but after going to HK…I am in love with Spaghatti House. Have you ever try it? It is so good.

    8. Hi Mei — If you ever come to Hawaii. Let me know and I can take you out to eat. Have you ever try Hawaiian food before? We can try the laulau or Kailua pig. Let me know la. =)

    9. Hi Xbabiex — Thanks for commenting. =)

    10. Hi ilovetvb — Yup! I agree with you–cheesecake factory is a awesome restaurant, but the lines are way too long. We had to wait 2 hours before we got seated, but it was worth it. The services and food was yummy! =) Is there any other places you’re try that you love? Care to share. =)

    11. Hi Karen — How do you like living in NYC? I used to live there for 5 years. It was one of the best experiences I ever had.

    12. Hi Lydia — I know what you mean. Saw the news on TVB in Hong Kong and that was shocking. Perhaps that why she broke the contract and will not return to singing or actoring anymore.

    13. Hi Charming — You’re from Portland. Awesome. I miss Oregon a lot. Used to go to school at OSU in Corvallis. Did a one year student exchange. I miss driving along the Oregon coast.

    14. Hi Pat –Wow! Milan. That the top 3 destination on my list of places that I want to visit in my lifetime. How is it living there?

And of course the most important MB…Yup! Yup! –Hi MB (Jan). Really miss your blog this whole time. Lots of new stuff. Thanks for all that you do for us.

    -Julie
