About a month ago, we received another package of food and Hello Kitty stuff for Chloe from none other than very generous .. Auntie Jo from Japan.   Chloe was sick then.. and so i was too busy to take pictures.. and put up this huge thank you .. to Auntie Joey.   But Chloe was thrilled.. and enjoyed everything that Auntie Joey sent. There were also gummies in this box.. but Chloe had already opened them and shared them with her friends at the store.  Yes, she is very proud to show off to everyone.. that she has an Aunt in Japan.

A lunch box, fork and spoon and also a brush from Auntie Joey, in addition, there was a pouch from hello kitty .. but Chloe used it today .. to bring her lunch to summer day -camp.. i bet she is gonna show them off to her teachers and friends at day camp.  Chloe is indeed blessed.. and we are overwhelmed by Auntie Joey’s generosity.   Thank you again.. Auntie Joey..!!  you are too  kind..!!!

Healthy snacks is what chloe calls eating fruits.. and for some kind of fruits.. she can’t get enough of it.  She loves strawberries, raspberries, plums, grapes, dried mangoes, blueberries and some bananas. Yes, we count our blessings.. when it comes to eating healthy – the kid pretty much fine tuned herself .. into eating healthy stuff.  But like any good parents.. we all want what is best for them.. when it goes into their lil’ body.  Summer time is a great time for fruits here in Canada.. we get all sorts.. from peaches to nectarine.. but fruits are darn ex here… 4 plums like the ones you see chloe is eating is about $4 and pear is at $1.99 a piece.  So this year.. we are buying them from the apple farm if we can help it.

You broke my tiny heart, Aunty Joey .. Chloe said – when Aunty Joey didn’t want the touque that chloe wanted to get for Aunty Joey.  Luckily, after much convincing.. Aunty Joey said yes.. 

My dream is to open a cafe with internet access brewing the best coffee and a lil’ snack place for reading, relaxing, for mothers to meet up and a place for kids to play at in a corner or another room.  A place to support local artists and handmade goods and maybe some weight loss pills for me, since I will be sitting down a lot.   A place that is non-profitable and just for pleasure. A place where any woman single or married to share their voices of their everyday life.

A place that is open from 10am to late at nite, a place where i can teach woman of all ages how to make money online and help them set up a blog and make them feel useful.  Unfortunately, it will not be in the town i am in .. because ppl here don’t seems to be interested in it.  I hope it is a place by the sea.. a place I can watch my grandchildren play in the beach.  A place for quirky things .. a place for seashells and books.  A place for ice cream and sandwiches.  A place where food and drinks are cheap .. and no profit is allow.  Ahhhh.. when will that day come..??

This is Chloe saying thank you to all aunties, uncles, Kai mah, Aunty Jo, Auntie Barb .. and all who had left comment to wish her well.  She is better today..  but didn’t sleep well for the last few nites.  Hopefully, we won’t be getting another scary few days for a long time.

I had wanted to enjoy the waterfront with Chloe and the “ang moh” this afternoon.. but the minute we sat down.. chloe said she was too chloe and was shivering .. so we went to the Shanty for a snack instead.  But that’s for another post eh.

These days i’ve been eating a lot of fish.. that even my grandmother would be proud of me.  I love fish .. donch get me wrong.. but darn ex lah here.  A small piece like this cost about $5 .. and i baked them myself.. with cumin and garlic bits.  Heat the oven at 425 degree and baked for 12 mins ..  turn off the oven.. and wait for another 3 mins.. and it’s a perfect fish.  The garlic on top of the fish never burned but the ones on the silver foil, it burnt badly.

The reason why I eat fish so often now.. is because i need to get my good cholestrol up.. and the bad ones down.. and to keep my blood sugar down.  What better way to fill yourself with a piece of fish.. and some plain vermecilli with clear soup.  Did it helped..?? i’m sure it did… but i still have to work on my blood sugar.  Wish me luck.

1) I have just finished my semester and I’m looking for a job.
2) I love all TVB series. It’s a part of my every day.
3) My favorite actor is Louis Koo. I admire him in every way since I was thirteen.
4) Foods are my friends. I eat food when I’m happy, sad, stressed or anytime. I’m so thankful to my mom because her cooking is so excellent.
5) I adore cakes. I wish I could own a pastry with my mom in the future. So, I can eat as much as I want.
6) I don’t do a lot of sports. I mean, I’m very picky in this domain. I only love extreme sports, like snowboarding, climbing, etc. I like the sensation when you have to challenge yourself.
7) I do hot yoga four to five days a week. It really helps me for concentration and to have a better vision on everything.
I have a little memory problem. I often forget things and my friends always have to remind me. They say I’d probably have Alzheimer when I’ll be old.
9) I want a dog.
10) I have two turtles. They are eight years old.
11) My favorite princess fairy tale is Cinderella.
12) I wanted to thank someone more than five months ago, but I don’t think I’ll have this chance.
13) Coffee and energy drink make me sick.

We love good food and cheap food.  What about you ..?? so you now know why we go to Jungle Jims a lot.  Yes.. this Chicken Tetrazzini was my meal last Sunday and only at $5.99, for two can eat for $11.99.  It wasn’t awful .. but the more i ate it.. the more “jelat” i became.  I couldn’t finished it – but I wasn’t gonna doggy bag it home.

The “ang moh” had the fish combo to share with Chloe.  And yer know what..?? we could actually eat this plate – all 3 of us.. and we wouldn’t be able to finish it.  There were 4 chicken wings.. loads of fish, onion rings .. and fries.
