Satay Rice
A week ago, I wrote about finding a somewhat like satay here in Canada – in fact – i found it at M & Ms – and those who lived in Canada would probably know what and where M & Ms is - they aren’t cheap but when you are away from home for this long – you probably pay anything just to have a taste of home. Luckily, I found peanut sauce in a packet too.. from Asian Gourmet. I think i liked the Canadian Satay because I can dipped them in peanut sauce. So if you want a taste of home, try getting these from M & Ms and make your own peanut sauce – as for me.. i had rice with my satay – yums!

M&M chicken wings are pretty good too!! esp the one with the honey & garlic sauce!!
MB, I am a asian purist and will die if i can’t have asian food. I ve lived in london for a few years, liked the place but hated the food there. I salute you for being able to live overseas, what more a place thats really far away.
MB, your plate of satay with rice looked very appetising indeed! I’ve never been to Canada so have no idea about M & M. Is it a family restaurant? If I made satays, I usually made my own satay sauce with lots of crushed peanuts and I usually drown my sticks of satay in the addictive satay sauce!
Hi MB,
There is a Malaysian restaurant, Penang Restaurant is located at Arlington Heights, IL. They serve good satay!
They also serve good food.
I love satay!
