The Zhu’s at the New Century Restaurant are extremely kind to us and they would try and cook the food that we fancy for the day, just like  noxycut. For those who lived abroad or have been to the West – combo plates are no stranger to you all – but you see combo plates are designated plates with a specific combination.  But we are darn lucky because the Zhu’s would cook special combo plates for us – the way we like it and knowing that I’m diabetic – they separate the sweet sauce from the main dishes – so that they are not full of sugar.

I had ordered plain broccoli and some Cantonese sweet and sour pork but they gave me beef too – so i was overloaded with meat that day.   Our combo came up to about $8 and as you can see – it was a lot of food – that i can eat for a few days.

How was the food ? i hear yer asking?  Pretty good – but different from the sweet and sour pork we have back home but like i always say – beggars cannot be choosers lah.  I count my blessings everyday.

I’ve seen this in HK – very cheap over there and very popular.
