Mackerel Toss
Yes – tossing of the mackerel – that’s what we do best here apparently – all in the name of fun. This town can use some – and as we see the Seafest ended like a few weeks ago – i cannot help but be amused at how Chloe didn’t like the smell of fish. She said it churned her tummy so bad – she had to leave – poor kid! But this is a fishing town and lobster fishing, clamming and scallops are all a big thing here and I haven’t been to one at all – so instead of doing my car insurance reviews that we need in order to get the best car insurance rates/benefit – I decided to come down to the waterfront with Chloe first.
When we were younger – my mom would only cook “ang kor lee” – seriously i don’t know what it is called in English – but i’ve always bought the “ang kor lee” when i cooked at home in Asia. But now – i eat the salmon for that’s the only fish i’m familiar with. I don’t eat fish and chips – i baked my own salmon – freshly bought from the local grocery store. What about you? have you had some mackerel of late? i know that some Japanese friends of mine eat them everyday.
