Once again – it is time for some cooking show from home.  This episode it is Maria with Chan Yoke Lin – everyone would remember her as Xiu Long Liu – from some 20 years ago – or even longer?  Well, I hope you like this episode – it’s pretty good.  Have a good weekend everyone!

So another huge box came for us on Christmas Eve – but this time they came from Malaysia – but this box took a lot of effort – because Shirley who sent the box – sent it months ago – to Jen in Toronto and then Jen sent it to us here in Yarmouth.  Why?  sometimes mail to get to us – as we are at the end of the province – and they do get lost.   So to be safe – Shirley sent this box to Jen in Toronto.  Plus you are all wondering how I know Shirley right?  well, Shirley isn’t a blogger – she is a fan of this blog for a long time  - a few years?  Shirley is always sending stuff to us – the last time she sent clothes for Chloe – that Chloe wore when she first went to school.

And as you can see – Shirley sent food, food paste from home – tomyum maggie noodles, toys for chloe, coloring stuff for chloe, clothes for chloe and bottles and cups for chloe.

So thoughtful of Shirley to remember the water bottle because Chloe’s ex-teachers had trouble with  her drinking from the sippy cup.  And the one that Alice sent – the cap was broken.  Dear Shirley – it was very thoughtful of you – but really you didn’t need to spend so much money in sending so many things to us – we appreciate it but very expensive lor everything.  How to repay you now?  More presents to write up about – stay tuned everyone.

I met Mei online when she wrote me an email – about a year ago?  Mei starting writing several blogs shortly after we met online and is currently a blogger that makes money online just like many I know.  But don’t get me wrong – Mei does not make money online on a full time basis – she is a pharmacist (living in UK) – but Mei is a smart cookie who wants to make more money during her free time and for extra pocket money.  Mei writes My Savoury Life, Little TV Addict and My Music Paradise, so hop by and check out Mei’s blogs – if you get a chance.

We received this huge box of presents from Mei on Christmas Eve and we didn’t open it till Christmas morning.  Look how happy Chloe was with her presents.

I opened mine as well – and found a huge box of beauty products – from bath wash to hand cream – heavy box too!

Chloe’s gifts were a hot dog stand which she loved and toys for her hot dog stand.  She played a lot with it for days.  Thank you so much Mei – it was very thoughtful of you – but you really didn’t have to do that.   The gifts were expensive and postage must have cost a bomb since they were expedited.  We really appreciate it – but don’t have to spend so much money lor!

So Christmas eve came and it was darn busy at the store – coz’ as soon as we opened – there were customers – yes! we are truly blessed last year – not only good customers all year round – but good friends from all over the world.  Very thoughtful friends but really didn’t need to send any presents for me or Chloe.

In the big box was a Leather Tote from Roots.

The leather smell was very strong as you can see my silly Chloe doing her nonsense – but the bag was really soft.  I love the tote!

Wow!!  so expensive!  *pengshan* – more presents to share with everyone in another post – stay tuned.

As you all can see – I’m pretty back logged with my posts – I’m still at Christmas eve stuff that I need to share – so lets start on the day before Christmas eve –  when this snowman cupcake arrived from Mr B – a friend and a customer – who dropped this for Chloe.  Baked with love from Skye and Boston of course – but what really touched me was that Mr B.  drove all the way to bring this to Chloe – how sweet was that right?  We don’t have many people whom we call friends but those that we do – they are super awesome to us – and always there to help us and Mr B.  is one of them.

Lets start the new year with a cooking show – teaching us how to make good food for our family and friends.  As food is such an important part in our life – I feel a need to cook healthy things to eat – not only for myself but for Chloe as well.  As for PB – give him a sandwich – and some chocolates – and he is all good.  Happy New Year everyone!
