Fishy Dinner

We haven’t gone out to eat for a long time it seems – not on Sundays anyway – since we have had so many things going on for the last few Sundays – so last Sunday – we went to Peg’s family restaurant to eat. I had a late lunch – so I didn’t really want a lot to eat – but everything at Peg’s is of a huge portion. Even the fish cake as you can see is a huge portion and I couldn’t finished it. How sad eh? coz’ they were really good fish cake albeit a wee bit too salty for my taste but I never like salt at all in my food – so it is just me – I’m sure.

Chloe had her usual pan-fried fish – half portion because she never finishes her fish and we hate for good food to go to waste – so we always asked for half a portion of fish and the folks at Peg’s are so great – the pan-fried it for her and gave her half a portion and some french fries.

Chloe waiting for her food and doing some water coloring that we had just bought from the dollar store – she loves drawing did we tell you. And her sweater was from Auntie CY and Rachel from UK/Malaysia and her dress was from Auntie Shirley from Malaysia. Overall, it was a good dinner – we went earlier than usual – because both PB and Chloe had an early breakfast – we had to wait like 15 minutes for a table – even though there was a table for 6 right in the middle empty but since we were only a table for 3 – I guess they didn’t want to waste an empty table – just in case a bigger party came. The restaurant was quite packed when we were there – a table for 10 at one corner and another table for 10 at another. Then we had several table for 2s scattered around the restaurant. So it was busy – it took us about 50 mins to get our food – so it wasn’t that bad – but it’s expected since it was lunch time and they had so many lunch party at that time. The waitress who served us was sweet and it was value for money – so do give Peg’s a try – even if in the beginning you found it too long waiting for your food – plus you can always ask for a toast or a bun if you are too hungry – they will always accommodate you.

Same here, I have been enjoying homecooked food a lot too; not that I am complaining:P
I love fishy meals like these; I just love fish
