I told yer.. we are really serious about snacking when watching our chinese tvb series and right now.. we just finished watching Last One Standing Episode 22 (final) ..!! really awesome..!!  and yes.. i kid you not. .we ate these..!! and in preparation for the final two episodes.. we bought like $13 of snacks.. muahahaha!!!  awfully junkie eh.

More junk food to last us for Last One Standing Episode 21 and Episode 22.   Yes..!! 2 episodes in one day..!! awesome eh.

Yes..! the Ethiopians do eat too..  hhahaha!! that was the joke my boss had made.. when we were on a work trip there. And surprising it was pretty good too. It was certainly worth a try when you are in Las Vegas.. as it was quite near to the las vegas hotel that we were staying in at that time.  Plus it was super cheap, I did’t pay for it. but the boss had joked that we should eat here more often.. hahahha!!  But the cajun food was pretty good too.  If you haven’t tried any of it.. you should.

We do strived to eat healthy .. most times.. but how often can one eat Subway right..?? plus i might as well make my own sandwiches.. which is a lot cheaper.. if i wanted some  bread and meat.. lots cheaper.  This was a subway meatball sandwich, in it.. was only 2 meatballs.. because the man had asked for less mess .. and they even didn’t give me any sauce for it.. *sigh*.  Lots of vegies though.. but if i had wanted a vegie sandwich.. you would think i would have ordered one right.

See .. ! here you could hardly even see the meatballs.. because they were TINY..!!!

Yesterday.. the man had asked for meatballs again.. and guess what..?? this time.. meatballs don’t come with gravy anymore.. you have to choose from BBQ sauce .. Mariana sauce.. or you can have it plain .. just plain meatballs with ketchup.. *slap forehead* .. ! no more subway meatballs for me.. that’s for sure.

When i was traveling a lot before coming to Canada, everyone had asked me.. how i keep fit.. since i traveled and eat so much in good restaurants and entertained so much with cocktail parties.. and attending weddings. and bridal showers.  As much as we loved food, we all know that moderation is the key to everything but a good elliptical machine is God sent..!  Work out at home, work out in the office or even at the boyfriend’s place.. it’s easy and convenient. .and absolutely easy.

We knew that there was a farmer’s market in town..and we never got around to going during the weekned.. because we didn’t know what time they start nor end.  We also didn’t know.. how a small tent like the ones they had out at the Canadian Tire carpark could house and organised a farmers’ market.  But after yesterday.. we finally understood.

There really wasn’t very much store holders - less than 10 .. and no one really decorated their stand .. or anything.  It was like the fish market back home where i come from… except it didn’t smell like fish.  The first store we went to .. sold jams.. and bread without preservatives.. nor sugar.  She had some pie, i don’t know what they are.. because she was too busy.. with packing up some jams for her customer.

There was a fruit and vegie stand by a couple, the wife is a philipino and the husband from here.  I had spoken to her a few times.. but never really in-dept kinda conversation.  They grow their own fruits and vegies.. and I would have bought some plums .. if not for the fact that they sold the last one in front of us.

Organic Carrots..??  i love anything organic.. they really do taste so much better.

Free range chicken.. !! woohoo..!! but he only had one baked chicken displayed .. and most of it .. were torn out of the displayed one.  Maybe, another time.. when we do come earlier.  We were there like maybe 10am.

More home made bread.. but we never got to speak to the store holder.

And this tent cost the town $7500 !!! yes..!!! the people from Canadian tire fought for this tent to be sponsored by the town.  And if you had seen what i saw on Saturday.. the Farmers’ Market in Yarmouth.. is not only not as vibrant as the ones I had been too.. many a times .. in Sydney .. but really a waste of my time.

We have been craving for onions rings for a few days now. .but the pizza place beside our store.. didn’t have any for at least 2 days.  Now where got meaning right..?? pizza/fast food place got no onion rings..!!  anyhow.. we finally got to eat them on Saturday.. and yes. .it is one of the best .. that we’ve had eaten for the longest time.  Yummy..!!!  this one isn’t too oily either.  For those of you who don’t know this.. onion rings has gotta be eaten immediately… as soon as they get outta the fryer.  Any delay.. would only make the onion rings hard.. and soggy.

Unfortunately, we all know that we can’t eat this everyday .. because it is just not healthy.  Luckily, the daughter is not very much into it either but that’s absolutely fine with us.

We eat KFC once in a while.. by once in a while .. i mean. .maybe once every month.. in fact it can sometimes.. go as long as 2 months.. before we eat KFC.  And the only reason why we eat it is because of Toonie Tuesdays, where one can get 2 pieces of chicken and a medium fries for only $2.49 .. which was supposedly only $2 (toonie).  But even if we had it like once a month.. I especially feel rather guilty putting such food into my body.  Can KFC really be healthy..?? how come i see people eating KFC all the time.. even when it is not Toonie Tuesdays..??  and some really don’t need any KFC if you know what i mean.. i think they need some alli instead.. but i ain’t saying nothing .. muahahahha!!  how often do you eat KFC..??

Fruits are darn expensive here.. so whenever any goes on sale.. even these cups ones .. which are originally at $1.69 a cup .. i still grabbed them…  but like all Asians.. we loved our fruits fresh… and these are way too sweet. .and hard to finish.  But fruits are definitely better than chips or chocolates right..?

I bought one peach and another pineapples.  As you all know pineapples are darn ex.. so i’ll eat just about any.  The peach one is ok.. but the pineapple ones.. well .. lets just say .. i won’t buy them again.  Ahhh..!! i so missed BangKok..!!  for a buck.. you can get several types of fruits.. all cut up. .and in a stick for you to munch for snacks.

Panzarotti is a favorite with students especially for lunch but I for one cannot imagine eating it.  With so much cheese in it and dough and fried.. !!  this is definitely a high cholesterol meal and i can’t afford to eat something like that .. and truth be told.. i can’t stomach it.  But kids can.. and since their metabolism is so different from mine, they are entitled to eat it.

Katelynn is too sweet .. and cut opened the panzarotti for me to take a picture of all the cheese in it.  Even she can’t finished the whole thing.. now that must say something right.  Yah..loads of cheese as you can see.. but i think you can have other stuff in it as well.  This is an italian dish i heard.   Have you had a Panzarotti before ..?

In our local grocery stores around town.. frozen food takes up alot of space in the store.  Rows and rows of huge fridges just to store frozen food.  We do have frozen food back home. .but i don’t even thing they are as much as we do have here.  You can just get about anything you want frozen.  And me..??  i haven’t eaten so much frozen food in my entire life, until i arrived in Canada.

I often questioned the nutritional value of these frozen food… but after living in Canada for so many years.. you sorta do what the Canadians do.  Having said that.. i try my very best to choose the good kind of frozen food…and i know you are laughing at me now.. because is there such a thing as a good kinda frozen food..??

Yes..! frozen chinese food too..! in cute Western take out boxes.  While we were taught from young that fresh food were the best.. and wet markets were the thing to do every morning.. in your pajamas.. here the Westerners do not even think about feeding frozen food to their kids .. everyday.. and every meal.  But is it any better than feeding them poutine..?

Frozen meatballs, frozen lasange.. frozen pie.  You get the hint eh.

No.. i don’t really like alot of frozen food.  I will eat them.. if i really don’t have anything to eat.. but i’m not crazy about them.. like some people.

Frozen sandwich too..!! woo hoo..!! now we have that all covered.  Frozen country .. or not..?
