A fruit basket received a few days.. after my first surgery from a long time friend.. and customer. The leblancs are the best ppl i’ve come to know.. during my stay in Canada. They have been steadfast in their friendship with us.. and the man is getting to appreciate them more and more. Thank you .. Leblancs..! yer the best ..! you make me feel so much warmer in Canada.
Told you i was crazy about fruits..! when i saw this at the local grocery store the other day.. my eyes literally light up .. with delight. With summer here.. fruits will be alot cheaper.. and guess what we can go to apple farm.. and get all these.. next to nothing.
More fruits.. and the reason why Apple farm gives us.. the fruits for not a penny .. because my MIL works there for her.. during her free time.. and they love our kid.

Yes.. i loved fruits.. and even before coming to Canada.. i’ve always eaten alot of it. But over here.. fruits are expensive.. unless you get the apples.. but even the oranges here are ex. But cut fruits like these at $2.99 - 3.99 are sold in grocery stores around Canada. But because i am diabetic.. i don’t eat all at once, it is such a pity.. because i can eat fruits all day… without having any junk food. But sugar contents in these fruits are awfully high.. so instead of it being healthy .. it is actually not a good thing for me.
Can you guess how much this papaya cost..?? Yes.. ! quite a ridiculous price here as you can guess. Any tropical fruit that comes by here.. is expensive. I don’t even eat fresh pineapples no more.. for one cost as much as $5.99 Cdn.. if i am lucky. I eat can ones most times. And look how small the papaya is..!! yes.. my grandfather used to have it in his garden.. and they would rot. .because we couldn’t eat it fast enough. How sad eh..!! i haven’t had Papaya for 8.5 yrs now..!
Fruits ain’t cheap here, especially tropical fruits. In fact, fruits like strawberries are even cheaper than these watermelon. I bought these for like $1.50 ..! yes . .very ex..!! but what to do when one is craving for fruits from home. Where pineapples were cheap like dirt back home.. here you have to spend like $5.99 for a whole pineapple. Ridiculous right..!
I haven’t made Waldorf salad for a long time, maybe it is because i am always the only one eating all of it.. and that’s a huge bowl of salad.. and takes me a few days to finish it. Everyone knows what a Waldorf salad is right..?? With green apples, celery, walnut, raisins and nuts … mixed them altogether with mayo. But if you choose the japanese mayo.. it would taste alot better.
At USD$14 for a tray of japanese strawberries.. you can be sure it wasn’t just me who enjoyed it. Once you’ve eaten Japanese strawberries..you never want to eat another type of strawberries.
