Can anyone guess where these fresh bread are from..?? A Hint..?? well.. it is touted as one of the healthiest place to have lunch, dinner and even breakfast.. with as little as 6 grams of fat.. and you can gobble them down.. without feeling guilty. Ok.. your turn now. Where are these fresh bread from..?? since they are baked on the spot.
Lobsters is definitely no stranger for us living in Nova Scotia .. because we are a fishing community here. Little did i know that at St Barts, we had one of the best lobsters in casual dining and at very affordable prices. We were at St. Barts villa rentals , many years ago.. and i remember this restaurant located at the beach introduced by a local there. In fact, we liked that place so much.. we revisited many times.. before the end of our vacation. It’s at Flamand Beach and i know you will love it too. Had this for lunch.. and it was like $5.65 .. and bought at the waterfront. It wasn’t great.. but as you can see not much meat. But the worst part was.. as soon as i got home.. i had tummy ache..! ouch..! I donch really like too fatty chicken wings.. but this is really too skinny.
Anyone who knows me.. knows that i am crazy about BBQ. Having a pool party with BBQ .. now that’s awesome..! Not many people has a pool here.. because we don’t stay in a condominium, so when we were invited by a customer for a pool party.. we jumped at the chance to swim.. and eat junk food. We took care of bringing lots of pool toys since they didn’t want us to bring any food nor wine. It was an awesome party.. !
My very first frozen pizza that I had ever eaten and bought in a supermarket/grocery store was Dr Oetker’s. I was hooked on the funghi pizza.. and also loved that it was thin crusted. That was some 12 yrs ago.. and i never enjoyed any other frozen pizzas from other brand.

We had lunch at Zeller’s Diner, I guess because it is called a diner.. they have the place decorated .. like the 60s diners .. or those on the highway in United States, it reminds me of the time i was in Anchorage… and on the highway back to the hotel and there were bikers all around the carpark of the diner. Anyways.. these was what we had last Sunday .. when we didn’t have to visit our in-laws.. because my MIL was up in the city .. watching RiverDance. This is my lasagne .. for like $8.50 ..?? can’t remember right now. Comes with salad and garlic bread. The lasagne was small eh.. and not that fantastic either.. and the Ceasar salad was really .. really dry.
The man had fish and chips/onion rings to share with the kid. It came with 3 pieces of fish .. and some onion rings and french fries. The cook was really nice.. and gave curly fries.. since we had a kid with us. The fish was really good.. for $8.99.
And this was my garlic bread.. free of course.. but it suxs..! big time. But i’ll have to say.. that the service staff was great.. and the kid ate all her fish.. and that was most important to us.
Caesar Salad must be my favorite green salad. But not just any Caesar salad from anywheres but Jungle Jims or Pizza Delight. They are run by the same owners till recently. The vegies are fresh.. and they give the right amount of cheese and mayo.. and lots of bacon bits and croûtons. I could make a meal outta it, plus after eating so much meat during the week.. it is good to get some healthy stuff into the body .. donch you think..?
An omelet for breakfast is a treat because we hardly have time to do anything in the mornings. But last Saturday.. our staff had to work morning.. because she needed the evening off, so we had time.. to cook a leisurely breakfast. Unfortunately, for me.. i’m the only one at home.. who would eat eggs… the rest of the family would not touch it. The man said.. he used to throw up.. when he was a kid.. and the kid didn’t wanna have anything to do with yakkies. In my omelet, I had mushrooms, ham, cheese and paprika. Yummy..!
We don’t roast our own chicken.. because it is definitely cheaper to buy them already cooked. It is very common here to buy cooked food.. for dinner.. for the whole family. But since we are a small family.. we only need half at a time. We quickly realised that buying a full chicken would mean the other half.. going to waste.. because by the time we get to it.. it’s all dried up and old. So at Superstore.. they do half chicken.. and that’s the way we go now. Half a chicken at less than $5 .. gets us thru’ a few meals.. depending on what we wanna eat them with. Both the kid and the man are very small eaters.. so i get to eat alot of the chicken with my noodles.
Our stop was to Burger King. I haven’t had a whopper for so long.. but what a disappointment. The burger was so-so.. they had so much pickles in it.. i was almost choking of pickles. The burger was soaked with ketchup.. already put into the burger by BK staff… I donch mind the ketchup.. but that’s abit too much donch you think..?? Well.. at least the onion rings were ok… albeit expensive.
